Firearm Licenses

You will need a New York Sate Pistol License to purchase a handgun from us. Once you have a pistol license you can come in and shop and we will be more than happy to serve you. We can answer your questions and provide you with technical specifications for the many different makes and models of handguns available. 

If you are looking to purchase a Semi-Auto Rifle in NY you will need a semi-auto rifle license. This went into effect on September 4th 2022. If you currently have a pistol license in NY to upgrade is easy but it is different depending on where your license is issued from. If you have a Nassau pistol license you would go to Nassau license headquarters and they will provide you a semi auto rifle license for $10(either on the spot or have you return to pick it up). If you have a Suffolk pistol license issued by SCPD you would purchase a rifle in the exact same procedure as purchasing a pistol and it would be included on your license. If you have a Suffolk pistol license issued by the Sheriffs Dept. you would go to the Sheriff's Dept. and they would include a Semi-auto rifle endorsement on your current license. 

If you want to purchase a Semi-auto rifle BUT do not have a pistol license you would need to apply for a pistol license.

Five Boroughs
